I couldn’t live without my notebook because physically writing things down helps my brain to process tasks and stay organised!

Emma

Who are you and what do you do at Yogamatters?

I’m Emma and I work in marketing at Yogamatters

What characteristic do you most admire in other women?

I really admire women who are comfortable in their own skin and who embrace who they are. Of course, I also realise that this is not always a natural instinct for any of us but when I meet, listen or see these kind of people what it does is make me think and challenge myself to be more accepting, be bold in what I believe in and also focus on myself rather than be influenced by others.

What tool, object or ritual could you not live without in your workday?

I wake up early with the aim of having a cup of tea in my favourite chair before the rest of the house wake up. I’ll spend this time thinking about the day ahead, going through my diary and my priorities. I then have the school run which is somewhat chaotic so always listen to a podcast after and on the way into the office so I can recalibrate before I start work. I love all different types of podcasts but before work I tend to listen to something that will make me laugh (often out loud or an interview with someone I admire.
