Falling amid an astrologically full month, the coming week ushers in embodiment, realignment, and abundance. Regardless of how much you may feel yourself or circumstances around you changing, you will experience a sense of stability and anchoring into yourself.

Venus Enters Taurus

In astrology, each planet “rules” at least one zodiac sign. The planet and its partner share the same perspectives, preferences, and intentions. When they also share the same space in the night sky, there’s a certain harmony and ease to their expression. There’s also a powerful magnetism that can bring those shared intentions to life.

On March 16, 2023, Venus will enter Taurus. Both hold a deep reverence for the body, beauty, art, pleasure, receptivity, and abundance. They tend to move at a pace that is supportive, that honors sensations and allows them to act as a guide, whether that means to slow down or dive in.

This cosmic pairing has an ability to see and appreciate the beauty and worth that exists around us. It is art. It is pleasure. It is abundance. This ability to recognize that beauty and receive with ease flows from a deep sense of self-worth, something that Venus in Taurus brings to our awareness.

The transit will open a doorway of integration, grounding, and self-nurturing that comes from honoring our innate value. It also allows ourselves to be flooded with reminders of this value—whether through another human, the support of the Earth, the beauty of a painting, or other senses and material things.

An earth element, Taurus is anchored in the physical realm. We are still in Pisces season, which can bring an element of floating into the mystical, although this transit allows us to ground ourselves in our bodies, in the earth, and in this time-space reality. Think of Venus in Taurus as your outer world holding up a mirror of your value and belonging and asking your inner world to join in on it.

Your invitations

If each astrological transit offered a gift to us, Venus in Taurus would be a reminder of the beauty that surrounds you and is within you. It would be the support of nature. It would be a sense of stability, of anchoring into yourself, regardless of how much you may feel yourself or circumstances around you changing.

Amid these abundant gifts, the invitation is to witness yourself from a lens of overflowing appreciation and to give back to yourself in a way that supports your value. Although the shift in the cosmos is activating and filled with change, it also offers the space to integrate who you are becoming by getting back to basics in how you can nurture yourself.

This time speaks to receiving in a way that honors your needs. What do you need to feel supported, to feel beautiful, to feel abundant and in love with yourself? What enables you to exist in a state of overflow? Venus in Taurus invites you to honor those needs, whatever they may be, and open yourself up to receiving those gifts.

Fulfilling these needs doesn’t need to require effort on your part, although you do have permission to boldly ask another or Venus in Taurus for your needs. Do you desire more support from a partner? What would this look like and how can you invite it in? Are you ready for greater financial support? How would this feel in your body, and how can you signal to the world that you are ready to receive in this new way?

Don’t be afraid to declare your needs and desires into the world. And don’t be afraid to offer yourself a new level of self-care and love. It’s time to witness your worth.
