The health benefits of Unicorn Moon Milk are just as magical as the mysterious creature it is named after. Combine these three moon milk “shots” to harvest the benefits of three magical plant-based powders.
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 teaspoon coconut oil
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon pink pitaya pea flower powder (pink milk)
1 tablespoon blue butterfly pea flower powder (blue milk)
1 teaspoon emerald green pandan leaf powder (green milk)
The pink moon milk is colored with pitaya (dragonfruit) powder. This gorgeous pink powder helps boost the immune system with its antioxidants and vitamin C, while also boosting the metabolism and soothing the digestive system. This super fruit also contains several types of B vitamins, protein, fiber, and essential fatty acids. Butterfly pea flowers are found across Thailand and Myanmar, and have a life span of just twenty-four hours. The dried butterfly pea flower, however, can be used as a natural dye and also helps to maintain healthy skin, and hair, and improve eyesight. Pandan leaf powder is often used in Asian cuisine to bring a vanilla-like aroma to dishes. It is a beautiful, bold emerald color and can provide relief from arthritis, headaches, fever, and skin problems.
